As part of our social responsibility, SIS look to improve social benefit by committing some of our profits to community groups, both locally and nationally.

SIS is a proud member of The Corbett Network, a coalition of charities doing exceptional work in prisoner rehabilitation and re-integration.

SIS supports Hope For Justice, whose mission is to bring an end to modern slavery by preventing exploitation, rescuing victims, restoring lives, and reforming society.


SIS supports Prison Chat UK, an online community giving support to those who have a loved one inside the British prison system.

SIS are proud sponsors of Ashton on Mersey Football Club U13 Spartans Team for the coming season.

SIS have always offered a “give back” to social enterprises, community interest companies, voluntary groups and charities, by way of discounting their first year insurance premium.

SIS work alongside Unlock, an independent award-winning national charity that provides support for people with convictions.


SIS support the SALT Academy, a Social Enterprise which provides training and educational courses to ex-offenders and those still in custody.

SIS provide funding to National Prison Radio to help with the printing and distribution costs of their programme which reaches 80,000 prisoners.


SIS are members of EFFRR (Employers' Forum for Reducing Re-offending). We provide affordable Public Liability cover for reformed offenders that have gone down the self-employed route.

SIS supports Clean Sheet, a registered charity which aims to offer people with convictions the hope of a better future by finding real, permanent employment.


SIS have long been supporters of Email a Prisoner, a special email service connecting prisoners to friends and family on the outside.

We sit within the Timpson Foundation providing advice and facilities on insurance matters. In 2012 we employed our first reformed offender.


SIS support Inside Time, a National monthly newspaper for prisoners. Inside Time Ltd is a “not for profit” publishing company and any profits are donated to The New Bridge Foundation.

SIS supports Inside Justice, a unit which investigates alleged miscarriages of justice and assists those in prison who are protesting their innocence by reinvestigating their cases..


SIS support The Skullfades Foundation, which seeks to help the most disadvantaged in the community, to raise their chances of employability by teaching Barbering Skills.
